Every Saturday: It’s Time for Yoga
Holy Spirit offers yoga for beginners on Saturdays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Called “Bubba Yoga,” the class originally was created especially for big boys and anyone who is a novice to yoga. Our class is open to all, male or female, thick, thin or in between! No fear. No judgment. Just fun and good health under the expert guidance of Brandee Goatcher, our yoga goddess who leads us on a practice designed especially for us. You’ll need a yoga mat, a nice big towel and a bottle of water. Please also bring $10 cash to cover the class. 3621 Brunswick Avenue, Los Angeles, 90039.
Compline at St. John’s Cathedral
A community of prayer for students and young adults. Thirty minutes of candlelight, prayer, stillness and song, followed by food and fellowship. First and third Sundays each month at 9 p.m. Information: stjohnsla.org/compline.
